I don’t much like talking about me, but I do enjoy talking about what I do.
I am vice-president of IAB Canada since 2011.
Professionally, I work in marketing / communications since 1994. I’ve worked in marketing research, media research (Saine Marketing and TéléDirect), planning and buying for traditionnal and interactive media (Publicité M.B.S. / MediaCom, Cossette Média and Draft Montréal). I’ve worked as Internet media sales representative and marketing director for Showbizz.net, and media sales director for online (Summum Web Média) and magazines (Summum and Adorable) followed by General Manager Internet – Quebec at Corus Entertainment: CKOI.com, CKACsports.com, 985fm.ca, 925theQ.com, SouvenirsGarantis.ca, CIME.fm. I joined Mediative as the Eastern Canada Sales Director for a brief time in 2011 but did not quit due to any non-satisfaction on my part, simply IAB Canada came calling for me to be full time.
I’m very involved in my industry having sat on the BPIQ board from 1999 to 2001 (I wrote the BPIQ memoir on Internet advertising for the PCM’s “Grand Virage” in 2001), on the Quebec board of IAB Canada since 2001, and on the national board of IAB Canada since 2003 under my consultancy Titan Interactif. In 2003 a gave a cours (created by Jean Gaudreau) on interactive marketing at the Université de Montréal. I sat on the Publicité Club de Montréal board in 2004-2005 and am the Quebec Regional Director of IAB Canada (paid position) since 2005. As part of that position, I often get to speak to classes, conferences and conventions. I’ve also gotten to be jury for various contests including Coqs d’Or (PCM), Boomerangs (Infopresse), Prix Média (Infopresse) and more recently Canadian New Media Awards (Nextmedia). I am an interactive marketing / advertising consultant (Titan Interactif) since 2004.
Personally I am with my spouse since 1991 (maried sinbce 2003), have 2 children (boy in 1997 and girld in 2000). I live in Sainte-Julie Québec and am a happy man. I was once in a rock band (Quiet Noize – our music is available on iLike) you can even get ringtones if you like. I enjoy renovations and gardening, but most of all I’m passionate about Internet.
