Location based marketing
This 7th overseas virtual trip takes mainly in Asia with some Africa and South America for good measure. As with my other overseas trips, this is mainly for the new city badges and leveling up my expertise badges.
This 2nd virtual trip through New England covers my Foursquare activities from September through December 2012 in New York, Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire.
My overseas virtual trips usually have me hopping all over the globe. This one in particular was concentrated strictly in Europe between August and December 2012 in the hunt for new city badges, and leveling up a few expertise badges.
This 18th virtual trip spans from June to August 2012 and unlocked 12 new badges in Montreal Qc, Trois-Rivieres Qc, Toronto On, Tampa Bay FL, Schenectady NY and Bethlehem PA.

This blog post is called Foursquare Badge Jedi because I now have the vast majority of available badges, including most expertise badges leveled up to “10.” Here are the 32 that I’ve currently gotten to level 10.
It seems like yesterday when I published a post about my 300th Foursquare badge, but that was in last August already. Since then, many city and partner badges have popped up and I’ve managed to capture most of them, but not all.
In January on my blog: 2012 – the year in review in marketing and advertising, Hard Rock Cafe and Foursquare
Here’s what you missed if you didn’t visit my blog in January:
Last year, I published the first version of this post (the one you are reading now) detailing my first 2 years of activity through the various posts I published on my blog. I can summarize my 3rd year on Foursquare as the accumulation of city and expertise badges. As I write this post (early October) I have 47 city badges and 32 expertise badges, only 3 of which are not at level 10. One expertise badge still eludes me at this time, and many other partner badges are up for grabs.
